Laboratory Assistant

Join Our Team

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career in a laboratory and manufacturing environment.

Working alongside experienced technical professionals, you will gain hands on experience in quality control, laboratory testing, product development support, and manufacturing operations. We welcome applications from recent graduates as well as candidates with laboratory experience who are eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine laboratory testing of raw materials, work-in-progress products, and finished goods.

  • Support quality control inspections and testing activities within the manufacturing environment.

  • Assist with compliance testing and the preparation of associated documentation.

  • Accurately record, organise, and report test results using laboratory systems.

  • Support laboratory and product development trials.

  • Assist with production testing and scale-up activities.

  • Help prepare technical reports, records, and documentation.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, and housekeeping standards.

  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and quality management requirements.

Skills & Experience

Ideally, you will have:

  • An interest in chemistry, materials science, manufacturing, or product development.

  • Knowledge of polymer chemistry, coatings, materials, or related disciplines (desirable but not essential).

  • Ability to follow test methods, procedures, and technical instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording data.

  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as pH meters, viscometers, tensile testing equipment, or spectroscopic instruments is advantageous.

  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and report preparation.

  • A willingness to learn new laboratory techniques and testing methods.

Qualifications

  • Qualification or current studies in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.

  • Previous laboratory experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
