Our client is a well-established leader within the industrial racking, storage systems, and logistics infrastructure sector, servicing some of Australia’s largest retail and commercial organisations.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of end-to-end operational performance across their Dandenong-based warehouse, logistics, and project delivery functions.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring seamless execution from order receipt through to delivery and installation, while maintaining strong inventory control, operational efficiency, and high-quality client outcomes.
You will also act as the key operational interface for major retail and commercial clients, ensuring expectations are met across multiple complex, time-sensitive projects.
Shift Times & SalaryHours: Monday to Friday | Day Shift (occasional flexibility required)
Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 + Superannuation + Annual Bonus

What You’ll Be DoingYour responsibilities will include:
Leading end-to-end warehouse, logistics, and project delivery operations
Acting as the primary operational contact for key retail and commercial clients
Managing full order lifecycle from receipt through to dispatch and installation
Overseeing warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
Ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy through ERP/WMS systems and cycle counting
Managing freight, transport, and 3PL provider relationships to ensure cost-effective delivery performance
Driving DIFOT performance and ensuring on-time, in-full delivery outcomes
Leading quality assurance processes to ensure all outbound goods meet strict standards
Overseeing installation readiness, checklists, and project handover processes
Identifying and implementing process improvements across warehouse and logistics operations
Driving cost control initiatives across labour, freight, and operational expenditure
Leading WHS compliance and building a strong safety culture across all operations
Managing, mentoring, and developing warehouse and logistics teams
Supporting workforce planning to meet project deadlines and operational demand
Working closely with ERP/WMS systems to improve visibility, reporting, and efficiency
If you have senior experience in operations, warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain leadership within complex, fast-paced environments, this role will suit you well.
You’ll also need:
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in Operations, Warehouse, or Logistics Management
Exposure to major retail clients or national distribution networks
Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain or distribution operations
Strong client-facing experience managing key accounts or commercial stakeholders
Experience in warehouse, 3PL, retail distribution, or industrial project environments
Strong proficiency in ERP/WMS systems
Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse performance metrics
Excellent leadership experience managing operational teams
Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost control and margin improvement
Solid understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
Advanced problem-solving and process improvement capability
Full Australian working rights (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or unrestricted work rights)
Experience in structural racking, industrial storage, or commercial installation projects
Strong DIFOT-driven operational environment experience
Experience leading warehouse layout optimisation or system implementations
Strong background in lean operations or continuous improvement initiatives
