We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Assistant to provide crucial support to  attorneys, directly contributing to the success of their cases and making a tangible impact on people's lives.
 
About the Role:
 
As a Criminal Legal Personal Assistant, you will be the backbone of this legal team providing comprehensive administrative support that enables the attorneys to focus on what they do best: fighting for their clients. You will manage caseloads, coordinate schedules, and facilitate seamless communication between clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage complex attorney's calendars, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and client meetings.
  • Prepare and finalize legal documents with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Play a vital role in case preparation, ensuring all necessary materials are organized and readily available.
  • Maintain meticulous electronic and physical files for each case, ensuring confidentiality and easy access to critical information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing compassionate updates on case progress, gathering information, and addressing inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Liaise effectively with court personnel, police, and other legal professionals, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Manage general administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and overseeing office supplies.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a legal setting, ideally within criminal law, is highly desirable.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and unwavering attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uncompromising discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving priorities.
