We are seeking experienced Production Workers to join Greene Fire in our Dandenong South manufacturing plant. This role will typically suit experienced Fabricators/Assemblers with unique products requiring enthusiasm, creative energy, motivation and self-drive.

The role:

  • Fabrication & assembly of aluminum windows, doors & glass processing for Fire Containment System products.

  • Completing Quality Control (QC) checks both during the production process & post assembly

  • Completing ERP system control at the completion of each production stage

  • Work closely with production engineers, warehousing & production staff to achieve scheduled dispatch of completed products

  • Undertaking scheduled stock take & assist with warehouse control, packaging

  • Ensure all production paperwork is completed in a timely manner.

  • Adhering to current OH&S legislation, company policies & procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Working within the production department:

  • Production of fire resistant aluminum windows & doors for Fire Protection Systems

  • Completing Quality Control (QC) checks both during the production process & post assembly

  • Completing ERP system control at the completion of each production stage

  • Assisting with quality control requirements as per ISO 9001

  • Ability to work on multiple production stations & operation on various production machinery

  • Packaging & warehouse duties as required

Your skills:

  • Proven ability in manufacturing high value, low volume products

  • The ability to foresee any potential production issues that may impact on meeting production time lines

  • Demonstrated experience to coordinate and manage multiple production orders

  • You will be reliable, motivated, and able to work under pressure with changing priorities

  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail and excellent time management skills

  • Hold a valid VIC driver's licence

  • Hold a valid forklift license would be advantageous

  • Be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen

Ability & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 Years experience with production fabrication & assembly roles

  • Specific experience in window and door assembly is required

  • Trade qualifications with production/technical experience preferable but not mandatory

  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings

  • Competency in interpreting simple technical drawings is essential

  • Ability to adapt to new products & changeable schedules

  • Able to work on your own or within the production team

  • Motivated & able to think outside the box

You will report to the Production Engineer

The remuneration package offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
