SURTECO Australia is a subsidiary of a 130-year-old German group of companies who specialise in Decorative surfaces and edge banding.  SURTECO Australia is involved in the development, design, manufacture, and sale of surface materials such as edges and foils, technical extrusion (profiles) and decorative printing.

Since 1984, SURTECO Australia offers locally manufactured polymer edges and technical profiles produced to German quality standard, besides the wide range of other SURTECO products. 

The Role

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing day to day customer service to internal and external clients. Managing high volume customer order entry, enquiries, and stock checks. This role reports into the Customer Service Manager and will form part of our National Customer Service team. This person will also work closely with warehouse personnel to ensure delivery standards are met. The role is full time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Accuracy enter data into system 

  • Service customers by providing product and service information 

  • Taking calls, entering orders 

  • Assisting customers on site and solving issues as they arise 

  • Taking payment, providing updates on stock and delivery timeframes 

  • Ensuring processes and procedures are followed and identify any improvements that could be made.

  • Escalating any QC problems to Quality department 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Customer Service skills – professional phone manner and strong written communication

  • An understanding of manufacturing and the inter-dependency of divisions

  • A strong track record of building internal and external relationships

  • Your enjoyment of a fast-paced environment with supportive management

  • A positive attitude and willingness to take on challenges.

  • Proficiency with a large ERP/WMS platform – preferably SAP and/or Movex

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Capacity to effectively manage several important tasks at one time
