We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive growth across our earthmoving equipment rental division. This is an opportunity to join a respected organisation with a strong reputation, quality equipment fleet, and the backing required to help you succeed.

About the Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new rental opportunities while growing existing customer relationships across civil construction, earthmoving, infrastructure, Land clearing, utilities, and major projects.

This is a true hunter role where your ability to open doors, build trust, and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships will directly impact your earning potential and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans

  • Generate new rental opportunities across assigned territories

  • Build strong relationships with contractors, project managers, and key decision-makers

  • Identify upcoming projects and position equipment solutions early

  • Conduct customer site visits and maintain a strong market presence

  • Prepare rental proposals, negotiate agreements, and close deals

  • Work closely with operations and service teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts

  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in a Business Development, Territory Manager, Account Manager, or Sales role

  • 3+ Yrs Experience selling equipment rental solutions.

  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets

  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-focused

  • Professional communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage a large territory and work autonomously

  • Strong commercial acumen and customer-first mindset

Highly Regarded

  • Earthmoving equipment rental experience

  • Civil construction industry contracts & Customs

  • Existing network within contractors, infrastructure, mining, or construction sectors

  • Experience working for an OEM, dealer, rental company, or equipment supplier
