Prime Tile & Stone is a leading commercial tiling and waterproofing contractor delivering projects across Victoria for Tier 2 and Tier 3 builders. We specialise in large-scale commercial, residential, education, healthcare and mixed-use developments.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Officer to take ownership of our accounts function and support the financial administration of multiple commercial construction projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy, and is confident managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, project claims administration, and day-to-day financial operations.
Position DetailsPermanent Full-Time Position
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 + Super (depending on experience)
Immediate start available
Full responsibility for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Process supplier invoices and payment runs
Manage customer invoicing and collections
Credit control and debtor management
Bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Assist with BAS preparation and lodgement requirements
Assist with month-end reporting and financial administration
Maintain accurate financial records and account allocations
Prepare, submit and track project progress claims
Assist with subcontractor payment claims and supporting documentation
Monitor project costs and supplier commitments
Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs)
Support Project Managers with financial and contractual administration
Maintain project-related financial records and documentation
Manage Superannuation, Incolink and Long Service Leave (LSL) lodgements
Assist with EBA-related administration and compliance requirements
Maintain supplier insurances, compliance records and documentation
Provide general accounts and administrative support to management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Senior Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar role
Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
Experience with debtor management and reconciliations
Experience preparing or assisting with BAS lodgements
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using Reckon, Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities
Previous experience within the commercial construction industry
Experience working for subcontractors, builders or construction-related businesses
Knowledge of Incolink, Long Service Leave and Superannuation lodgements
Understanding of EBA environments and construction industry compliance
Experience managing project claims and progress claim administration
