Overview

Fleetmark is a leading Australian company specialising in fleet branding, commercial signage, and digital display solutions. Since 1994, we have partnered with businesses nationwide to deliver high-quality branding and rebranding projects, offering end-to-end services across design, project management, manufacturing, and installation.

With operations across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, along with a global procurement arm and digital signage division, Fleetmark continues to innovate and deliver impactful branding solutions across a diverse client base.

Reporting to the General Manager - Finance, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Fleetmark Group. This hands-on position requires someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting activities, month-end reporting, and financial compliance, while also helping strengthen processes, controls, and the overall capability of the finance function. Working closely with the GM - Finance and operational leaders, the role offers broad exposure across multiple businesses and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and development of the Group.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a trusted second-in-command to our CFO.

Someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting the fundamentals right, but who can also step back, see the bigger picture, and help improve the way we operate.

One day you might be supporting payroll, reconciling accounts, or helping clear operational issues. The next, you could be preparing month-end reports, strengthening internal controls, or helping build the financial structure and discipline needed to support future growth.

This role would suit an experienced accountant who is comfortable operating in a growing business environment where not everything is perfectly defined. You'll need to be adaptable, commercially minded, and willing to move between transactional, operational and strategic work as required.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone we can trust — a reliable finance professional who takes ownership, follows through, and wants to help build something better.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

·       Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, BAS, and general ledger maintenance.

·       Ensure financial transactions are accurately processed and recorded within MYOB.

·       Support debtor management and supplier relationships.

Reporting & Compliance

·       Complete month-end reporting and reconciliations within agreed timeframes.

·       Prepare monthly financial reports, analysis, and commentary.

·       Support year-end financial reporting, audits, and statutory compliance obligations.

Process Improvement & Controls

·       Maintain and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.

·       Support the ongoing development of efficient, scalable finance processes and reporting systems.

·       Assist in strengthening financial discipline and accountability across the Group.

Business Support

·       Partner with operational leaders to provide practical financial support and advice.

·       Respond to finance-related queries and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis.

·       Support the CFO on operational, commercial, and strategic finance initiatives.

Skills & Experience

Required

·       5+ years' experience in a hands-on accounting role.

·       Strong MYOB experience.

·       Sound knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, BAS, and statutory compliance.

·       Experience working within small to medium-sized businesses.

·       Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.

Preferred

·       Experience across multiple entities or group structures.

·       Exposure to growing or founder-led businesses.

·       CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).

·       Experience with job costing or project-based businesses.

About You

You are a practical, trustworthy accountant who enjoys variety and taking ownership. You're equally comfortable working in the detail and contributing to bigger-picture improvements.

You'll be:

·       Hands-on and solutions-focused.

·       Organised, reliable, and accountable.

·       Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business.

·       Able to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.

·       Keen to contribute to a stronger, more efficient finance function.
