An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established and globally recognised manufacturer of polymer stabilisers and specialty chemicals.

Reporting directly to the Financial and Administration Manager, this role will suit a technically strong accountant looking to broaden their exposure in a commercially focused, fast-paced setting.
The Role
You will take ownership of core financial reporting while supporting broader commercial and operational finance activities across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparation of monthly financial reports including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow
Leading month-end and year-end close processes, including journals and reconciliations
Supporting group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and statutory reporting
Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and audit requirements
Managing compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and delegation of authority
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and delivering insightful variance analysis
Monitoring working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables
Contributing to cost accounting, product costing, and margin analysis
Supporting treasury activities including funding and interest exposure monitoring
Managing tax compliance across GST, payroll tax, income tax, and superannuation
Overseeing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with legislative requirements, and timely processing
Overseeing general ledger integrity, fixed assets, leases, and inventory controls
Partnering with cross-functional teams across operations, production, sales, and senior leadership
Cash management, credit control and cash disbursements
Supporting internal and external audit requirements
Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, and reporting
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong technical capability combined with a proactive and commercially aware mindset.
CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
3–5 years' experience in a Financial Accounting role
Background in manufacturing, logistics, or a similar industry (highly regarded)
Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems
Experience overseeing or supporting payroll processes (desirable)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders
Candidates must have valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa to be considered for this position.
